Bringing back live music!
Live music on Sundays are continuing at Ollie Vee's, 33 Market Square, Leighton Buzzard LU7 1EU on Sunday 20th September at 3pm, featuring Ollie Vee regulars, The Broadway Twisters with their new drummer Matt Adams blasting out High-octane Swamp rock rockabilly and country-trash! Doors open at 2.30pm so you can arrive early and get your cocktail order before the band starts!
Since forming in 2012 Bedford's The Broadway Twisters have developed a reputation for their high-octane, incendiary live shows. Having torn up the 100 Club and Ronnie Scott's and blown away everyone from the Ruts DC to Tenpole Tudor they have now released their debut long player South By South West 2.
The gig will take place in the outside seating area with a cap on audience numbers to facilitate social distancing.
There will be no advance ticketing but we will be applying a music charge on the day with a suggested minimum donation of £10 per person, which will go directly to the musicians. You're welcome to contribute more, should you feel inclined. As you are probably aware, most musicians' livelihoods have been adversely impacted since lockdown began, with the cancellation of all live performances, so your generosity would be appreciated!

In order that the event can be managed efficiently you are invited to book in advance, with entrance guaranteed, providing you arrive on time. You're welcome to turn up before - Ollie Vee's will open at midday.

About the Broadways...
The Broadway Twisters performed their stunning live debut supporting platinum selling artist Paul Young’s new Tex-Mex band Los Pacaminos. Since then they’ve hot-footed bandstands across the country including The Gypsy Hotel, Ronnie Scott’s and the 100 Club with the likes of The Urban Voodoo Machine, Si Cranstoun, Daddy Long Legs, Ruts DC, Shonen Knife, Tenpole Tudor, Theatre of Hate, John Otway and Steve Conte from The New York Dolls.
In April 2016 they performed at Muse’s end of Drones Tour party at the Brooklyn Bowl in the 02 Arena.
In 2019 the band were featured on the Urban Voodoo Machine’s covers album ‘Friends and Family’ alongside such exalted company as Jim Jones and Wilko Johnson.
Along with hi-octane 50’s classics and a few ‘off the beaten track’ toons The Broadway Twisters’ incendiary brand of noir-country trash-R&R is evolving into something unique – think Allen Ginsberg meets Dale Hawkins.
And now in 2020... the long-awaited debut album! "South by South West 2"
The ‘strictly limited edition’ 180g red vinyl will be available via mail order from
